Avoid the pressure, do your own thing and don't behave like the masses who have been conditioned to behave in a certain way without even realising it.

Got it summed up perfectly there fella.

I send out cards via Moonpig which state:

Hoping the "Festive Period" is all you want it to be and wishing you the very best for January 2nd.

I really do - honest. Recent TV footage on Black Friday made me cringe. Did you see that Munter with the red hair?

Sheep & general masses all bemoaning how skint they are for most of the year because they get sucked into the big hype.

Hate the way it starts too early, and the commercialisation and people whinging that they can't afford the latest laserDVDxstation that little Johnny must have for £500.

When December is in I love it.

I love all the traditional stuff.

The good grub.

The booze.

The smells.

The catch-up with mates.

Time with the family.

Isabella's pure excitement (does anyone know where Santa can get a pink yo-yo?).

I really love Christmas tunes as well!

The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl is the daddy, but I love playing Chris Reas 'Driving Home for Christmas' as I drive north over The Tyne on the A1.

It is what you make it.

It makes me realise how lucky I am.
