I tend to avoid recognising Christmas until December starts. Then kindly daughter preps the present requirement for the other 1/2, 90% through amazon and an hour and half in local town - all sorted.

Start the festivities about a week or so before the big day and plan to avoid being busy during the last week before.

Christmas is what you make it - do different things, break the routine, take a break and spread it out.

Those with no children - things are going to be different of course.

Chrismas means different things to different people.

Don't forget the workers.

I intend to have the best time with my family that I can!

And why should it be band if your older than 10? Never too old to enjoy xmas or family

You can and should enjoy your family any day of the week. Christmas is now all about making money.

All the fun has been taken out of Christmas by the shops and tv ramming it down our throat from not long after Easter.

I will never understand why people find the need to ram trolleys full of crap that they would never normally eat or drink and can ill afford, it's just a huge excercise in over excess.

All I like about Christmas is most of the family around the table for a normal dinner without the excess on Christmas day, and that's it, the rest of it you can stick.

Baah

Completely agree......

Christmas has been hijacked somewhat and it does get worse each year. I look forward to being with my family on Xmas Eve,Xmas day and boxing day. That will be special provided the T.V is off.
