Yup it seems no one has the balls to admit theyve bought a lemon, take everything with a pinch of salt

Completely the opposite

Everyone likes to complain it was shite.

The wosrst saws available are the 201, 540 261 and 550.

Before that it was the the 200t, 346 and 660.

:confused1: Plenty (myself included) have said they consider the 540 they bought to be a complete "lemon" and I would advise all to steer well clear

No one was maybe a generalisation, not aimed at you either! But its better to find out from personal experiance or from someone you trust.

Anyhow if they do introduce this m tronic. 201t will they phase out the current one?

Therein lies the rub.

Some people have had bad experiences with a saw, like you, and are drawn like a moth to the flame to criticise it (as is your privilege of course)

They tend to drown out people who just want to say "it's very good thank you"

Bit like me and land rovers (although they really are rubbish!)

I don't believe any one has ever slagged off the 66, I certainly hope they haven't, as its the finest saw ever built!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbup1:

Nope, i have always said the 201t was good. Also ive ran a stihl 261 for the last 3 years or so and it has been great.

Which chainsaw is best threads are utter rubbish, can you really spare the time?

I agree, brilliant saw.

Some say the chain brake goes soft and it's a pos.

I was looking to buy a new 3.5 tonner, every and I mean every 3.5 tonnner had major engine, chassis problems.

If I had just read and believed to be true what was on line I would be transporting chip on the local bus.
