good news guys , i spoke to husky's technical department this morning , they asked for the serial number so i gave them it and they told me it was a faulty carb and that they would send me a new carb for free , i then asked weather it was common and they told me it was untill they changed the carb from a warbro carb to a zamma , so wile i was there i checked the other serial number on the other 357 and they are also sending a carb for that one for free . tbh im really impressed with there response , its a shame stihl were not as help full with my ms200's i have had to pay for 5 carbs for them !!!!

Did you buy a Husky top handle when they fist came out ?,put a lot of people off for life.

Looks like Husky may have changed .

yeah i tried the husky top handle and found it to be more trouble than it was worth , evry one within the company i worked for tried it and nearly everyone wanted to throw it out of the tree !

i did hear a romour that husky are releasing a brand new top handled saw next year , has any one elts heard this ???

Its on the website already - its a Zenoah machine as we bought them about a year ago. In the US recently I asked the product manager when we can expect a new Husky designed top handle and he reckoned 18 months from now.

one of the saws is nearly 2 years old the other is about 9 months old and both have the same carb i would give husky a call and talk to the tecnical dept give them the serial number and they will tell you exactly bob , the only draw back is that the carb has to be ordered by a husky dealer

The latest 338 aint a bad saw far better than the 335 when that came out {are's ended up been thrown from a great height!} on paper it has more power than the 200T ,bin the spark arrestor and change the bar for an oregon and its pretty good imo....the carb probs and lack of power with th3 335 are now a things of the past the only annoying thing is the exhaust and spark plug covers are still too brittle but atleast the spark plug cover is now screwed on.

I also have a 357xp about 2 and half years old and it is doing the same, cutting out running rough. I have had the carb cleaned out just lately and it ran ok but now it is a sod to start sometimes. I will be going to the Husky dealer again and getting a new carb for my saw. Thanks for the info.

I'm having problems with my 357 it is a sod to start and then wont start again after it has been switched off.

Just started all of a sudden, had it down and checked everything, the saw is still like new, could do with husqys tech dept telephone number if you still have it to check out the serial number / carb issue
