10% of that pile deals with just whether someone is an employee, a contractor or something else. It's always contentious.

 

I'm afraid a lot of very certain answers on this thread aren't right.

I don't know the answer. Lawyers don't know the answer. Judges struggle with it.

 

 

Pay for EL or pay for a lawyer's opinion on whether you need EL (probably about the same cost; unless the lawyer advises you to get EL, then it's both outlays).

The insurance WILL cover you. The lawyer's opinion MIGHT cover you.
