air buner hire costs

Hi All.

I am finding it harder to get rid of all my waste these days.

I have been thinking of hiring in air burner to get rid of the timber that i cant seem to give away!

I have a contact taking the hardwood but day to day i get a lot of softwood.

I know they dont burn chippings so thats another problem.

i know many of you on here state that you sell it all (logs and chips) and make at the least beer money but i cant give the stuff away!

So i was wondering just roughly what it cost to hire a air burner for the day (not sure if there is a minimum amount of time).

I have access to the space to site it for the burning process and access to a loader to load it up.

i run a small tree team so i am thinking it would be needed once every 6 months or so.

On a side note i read about another member on here hiring in a 40 roll on off container. roughly how many transit size loads would that equate to?

Anybody else have any pointers would be greatly appreciated

I am based in berkshire.

many thanks

Jose

I have an ad on gum tree which has generated a few emails and hopefull turn into a few loads but noway near satisfiying a day to day bussiness.

I use one green waste disposal yard where i pay by the truck but they are also suffering at the moment. They are having trouble shifting the chippings and compost ( ground up green waste) them selves.

Cant see them taking it for free!

I may hit the phones again to see if any other local firewood guys want it but you know how it is everybody ( clients) have this thing about softwood.

It has to be oak beech or nothing it seems!

Ive even had a fair few say they only interested in dead oak or beech. Needless to say they didnt get anything. hell ill keep that for myself :001_smile:

Ive seen a company called Kingswell so i will give them a call tomorrow i think to see what they charge.

yes im in bracknell, berkshire area.

Cheers

I get about 15 tonnes of assorted arbwaste logs into a roro bin.

Technically you should not burn arbwaste apart from the site on which it is produced unless you are using it for heat. In practice very many do and at least the air curtain incinerator will be smokless.

Alaska Environmental hire one out with a 360 but I don't know the costs.

I'd be tempted to make something a little smaller and run it more frequently.

I'm stunned. Is there really no market down there? Have you tried some of the biomass burner fuel supppliers? Could you create a market? I know commodities are largely beyond the individuals control when it comes to price but if you've got that much could you set up an additional business making biomass chip or pellet grade material and if that's not your bag could you find an enterprising individual or company that you could team up with so that you can both make a quid? I'm in Scotland, otherwise I'd be keen to take it off your hands...
