you can get pau amarello and glue it together but that could be expensive.

 

i reckon you need a nice bit of robinia and make it from that?

i haven't actually tuned any myself, the bit i had i gave to a guy who cuts pen blanks. i only like larger bowls and this was 3 1/2" max.

Mahonia and Berberis are so closely related that some taxonomists think they are the same genus or sub-family. There is even a mahonoberberis. So everyone's right. Except Mr. Hornbeam.

Dalton trees, molecular techniques in relation to taxonomy may prove many biota to be subject to taxonomic re-classification, the futures exciting in taxonomy! And to be totally correct it's Mahoberberis, so it would appear that with mahonoberberis you may be incorrect.
