I got my eyes lasered 10 or so years ago ( blended vision ) at the London Vision Clinic and they are just starting to go off again . . Its very clever and can redress the situation albeit different way of seeing things ( your master eye does the long stuff and your weaker eye is adjusted to do the close stuff and somewhere in between they both work ) Your brain discards the out of focus image in either case . But it still wont stop your eyes deteriorating at the rate they would normally , hence they need tweeking again .

I'd rather wear glasses. As far as the sharpening goes, I can see if I've already done a tooth.

(With glasses!)

But when your arms arnt long enough to read the paper its a god send . When its done you can read the smallest print that is legally allowed and right into the distance .

Honestly, I'd rather buy specs at a quid a throw in the pond shop than have a Doc put a scalpel in my eyes. Especially if it needs doing again after 10 years.

There is NO scalpel in you eyes . Laser is the clue . The actual procedural takes about 30 seconds when he ( the surgeon ) has all the data . Its the pre opp tests that take a couple of days ! :001_smile:

Oh btw I'm talking about age related macular degeneration not shortsightedness or anything.

:001_huh: Thats pretty serious, sorry to hear you have that, are you getting treatment?

Mine is just poorer up close vision caused by the muscles that adjust the lens for close up work weakening with age.
