Suggestions for lanyard setup?

i use the distel and micro pulley, works a treat (much better than the crap rope grabs at college). you can use it one handed and release under load.

 

Same here, great bit of kit, good to use and simple.

This is mine. Snap hook on one end, stopper knot, micro pulley and distel (or some kind of similar friction knot...). much cheaper than the art positioner! about 35 quid all together

 

I wouldn't use a snap hook personally, also be wary of having the tails on your fisnermans so short it will creep!

 

Somthing like this is my prefered set-up only with more compact knut/distel type knot, there is 8m of lanyard stuffed in that hip bag, the little prussik is for attaching one end round limbs to save from side loading the karabiner and to get the full benefit of 8m in a single leg.

when ross taylor was down working with me for 4 days he saw my strop thats just like yours also with a snap hook and he said that as a qualified LOLER inspector he would fail it as its not fit for purpose as the snap hook is not 3 way so i got rid of it last wekend when a bought a new set up form jonesie , :sad::confused1:
