yep good 'n' powerful , gearboxes are crap though well not the box itself exactly but the cable linkage bit like a stick in a bucket of swill!

Yeah - we all suffer from that! I liken mine toi stirring porridge with variable results!

Is there a remedy? Replace/tighten up linkages?

I've got a 35c15 and it's awesome. Recently changed the gear selector which comes with the stick attached, easy job 30mins a and it's changed. Now my gears are loads better.

PROS: powerful, tows heavy loads easily, strong and reliable, nice to drive, crewcab has plenty of tool space

CONS: heavy (very little payload on the 3 litre crewcab), thirsty (15-20mpg with a chipper and load of chip in the back), plastics are a bit crap

i swear by our daily. it has had a hard life being pulled and pushed with harvester etc and never been a problem. haven't had any problems with the gear box or any rust. The one problem we found was the front spring breaking if it hit a hole done 3 now, not sure if they have fixed this in the newer ones. our local dealer was doing the springs basically at cost price as it was a known problem.

Im currently in talks with my local dealer about the brand shape crew cab, they really have thought about the van driver giving lots of cubby hols and fold out consoles along with monster 6 leaf rear springs and im looking at the new 3.0 twin turbo

I drove a 65c170 last month. Lovely. I left the counter offer a few hours to late and somebody else bought it :(

Looking for another in my price range but no joy
