Ha, I agree on Aspen.

However, to be fair, there are very few petrols over 5% and should be none over 10% so petrol probably does conform still.

The point I was trying to make is that even some cheap oils can conform to FD, but I would not trust them. Best to stick to the mainline ones.

I believe john (TCD) recently found up to 20% in some fuel. Yes, some crap oils 'conform' but I wonder whether that conformity is similar to the CE on copy saws

Amateur source that; for starters FB is a mineral base, FC and FD semi/full synth.

This thread is becoming :banghead::banghead::banghead:

TCD lets just use what we use and let the others use what they want to use and the world will keep on spinning . Life is too short bud . :biggrin:

Best to stick with a well known brand such as Rock, Stihl, Huskie or Aspen.

Redline is not well known in this industry. It may well be fine but I doubt its any better than the above 4 which are perfectly good enough.

They're only well known in horticultural circles; completely unheard of in racers bikes, planes etc.

Only POE based 2-stroke oils are anything close to RL, the four above are not POE, possibly not even PAO.

Occasionally, a product from another industry can upset the apple cart in another. I tried RL vs Mobil Pegasus in Jenbacher JE20 gensets; as expected UOA was in RL's favour but price was not.

It is not best to stick to a well known brand. Bang my head one more time.
