Give that lad a proper harness some training , rope and a lanyard and I,ll bet he would outclimb 80% of the so called subbie climbers that I know . Putting food on the table the best way he can . Awesome guy Your all just jealous of his climbing abilities

I rather enjoyed that. Someone who can climb both down and presumably up and is good at it. Ok, so he didn't have the backup of ropes for most of the descent but he didn't need it, as was so plainly evident.

 

In my childhood and even recently, I climbed trees without gear. I admit not with a chainsaw and the highest tree was maybe 2/3s the height of that one. But if you climbed things as a youngster, you never forget how to. Just for most, other things get in the way later on; cars, work, romance, family, music, injury, fear. Whatever it maybe, most give up.
