There ain't much grass left though Steve so the footfall was decent enough.

Spector, instead of the negative comments how about suggestions for future events bearing in mind the cost of a space like that at a national show.

What would you like to see at the arbtalk stand?

Semi-naked fit promo girls, free booze and drugs, BBQ loaded with steaks and lobster, comfy beds.

The problem with that is, as one cuts bits off the hog, it's no longer whole. Perhaps two then - one for consumption and one for show.

Also, I think there's missing thoughts there.. equality. If he has scantily clad lasses, he also has to have scantily clad lads.

Comfy beds. Perhaps you need to miss the next APF and get yourself off to DFS.

Enough to just about cover my expenses being away for 4 days. Cleared some old stock though and promoted arbsafe which was what it was all about.

And yes, i'm well aware my stand is a bit of a poor show and something I need to address. Unlike the other stands who are selling 15k pieces of equipment though, my budget doesn't really stretch quite that far :)

Best suggestion I can give just going from the photo posted at the start of the thread is it looks really dark and uninviting from a distance, to anyone wandering around who hasn't heard of arbtalk and wants to pop in and day hello, at a padding glance you can't see anything to draw you in.

A set of replacement gazebo covers in white so as much light as can do gets in would be a good start.

Failing that a generator and mains lighting so everything is lit properly.

I do shows every weekend through summer selling camping gear and have done for over 10 years now, getting people to notice something that appeals from a distance so they stop and come for a proper look and see something worth buying is what you need to address

Other than looking gloomy which may just be that photo it looks good, but with clothing bright stalls always do better than dark ones

It's no bother, if he has scantily clad girls, I'll get undressed with them
