Missed your post so apologies in the delay in getting back.

 

I call you out again, 3rd party or homespun repairs making the integrity of a chainsaw trouser void from claim? (If one ever had to).

 

So every Arb walking around in repaired trousers is wearing PPE that's void?

 

Here's your £200 pants sir, but mind you don't rip them.

+1. Did she get any further with offering this service? It'd be useful to know where to send them & roughly what sort of cost.

Disregarding the valid points re CE continuity & ins claim invalidity, does anyone know if kevlar can be bought anywhere should any have been lost or am I getting into the realms of pointlessness?

diy repairs are not the issue, third party ones are. you repair your car and it fails its your fault, if you'd sent it to the garage to be fixed and it failed its their fault, same as

 

 

So on that basis if you repair your own trousers, the buck stops with you? One repaired rip and they're void?

 

I suppose the best idea is not to void your trousers then...
