I regularly wash my 40m climbing rope and prussicks in the washing machine (have done do for many years) at 40 degrees with run of the mill washing liquid. It spins out at 1600rpm and comes out dry enuf to use straight away. To clean the steel core flip line i scrub with a stiff bristled brush and washing up liquid as this would smash the washing machine glass door. Brake cleaner or WD40 is good for removing sap from krabs etc.
