My mobile mechanic has been called out to 1 about 3 times in the last week.

Imo the less solenoid sand electrics the better and make sure you get a manual throttle!

They shake themselves to death Stump grinders, unless Predator has really improved since I demod 1 a few years back then I wouldn't have 1.

We had one for about 2 years and it was great at getting the stumps out .

Unfortunately the build quality was poor . The fuel tank decided to separate from the machine while grinding one day , the clutch went twice.

A friend of mine has the same machine and he has currently been waiting 4 weeks for parts. He has also had Similar problems .

In regards to be narrow access the machine is great but the length and weight mean that you have to have a straight run and a strong surface underneath .

I finally sold mine with just over a hundred hours on it and replaced it with a carlton .

We now have a carlton 2010 and have been looking at a bigger machine for were access is good .

Only my Experince as a owner I am sure people will disagree .

I have had the 28hp remote control and it has been an amazing bit of kit. I would definitely go for the diesel over the petrol as it is so cheap to run and there's hardly any difference in cutting speed.

Having the remote makes life such easier as you can get in a position to see what your doing.

I believe the reliability issues have been solved now like my new one. The guys at Predator are really helpful if you need anything.

The narrow access is great, like other comments above you have to be realistic on where you can get it though with tight corners and delicate surfaces. We always put boards down if the ground looks suspect and haven't had an dramas yet.

From only having a danequip Sp before it has made a world of difference on how much we can do and without breaking a sweat!

I've had a Predator for several years and it comes out when I can't get access for my 7015. I have to say that I haven't had a great deal of problems with mine, but then it's only doing about 80% of my workload. I definitely wouldn't run it as my main or only machine, as I don't think the build quality is there for that. I am looking forward to someone like Carlton coming up with same width machine, I would replace it asap. Also, if you do buy one, you'll need a mortgage for the teeth. Take a look at the Tusker Wheel which fits straight on and takes Greenteeth.
