Never heard that one, mind my motors are aways taxed, so not really an issue.

 

Many,many years ago I ran an old mini for a couple of weeks after the tax had run out, a copper stopped me and said I would be reported to the DVLA, so I took it off the road and sent the DVLA a cheque for two weeks tax, they retuned the cheque and said I need to pay a full month, I never sent them another cheque and never heard from them again.

I just do it online no probs, I was just looking on the net and that came up.

No tax doesn't mean no insurance, if it did you would be done for no insurance too.

Even with no MOT your insurance is obliged to cover you third party at least. Again, if this weren't the case you would be done for that too.

I was done for no MOT once, £30 fine no points. Bummer was that it had an MOT, I just couldn't find it.
