Cats v Wildlife

Surrounded by cats at our place, at least 8 doing "what comes naturally" (my arse, shouldn't be there in the first place). Very, very close to getting a dog, mainly to get rid of the cats. Any suggestions as to what kind of dogs are good with kids but like eating cats? (Already prepared my "but it's just doing what comes naturally defence"). God I hate cats (domestic, roaming all over the damn place cats).

 

 

If it savages a cat (just doing what comes naturally) I'd be very careful about keeping it round your kids.

 

How would you feel if the same dog turned on your kids?

Greyhound, fast enough to catch them too and normally really friendly dogs, downside is you can't take it to work as might give the wrong image

Cats savage birds, wouldn't want them round the kids either.

I have two German shepherds, my neighbour's cats aren't foolish enough to come into my garden.
