Business banking - Change or stick?

So my year of free banking with barclays ended a month or so ago and got a letter today outlining my fees from now on....

 

Just over a hundred quid in charges! For a month...

 

Now... Is it better, in the short term, to switch to another bank who would offer the same 1 or 2 year free business banking to save on these fees? Or would that make an effect in the future as far as getting finance / loans etc on the basis of "Time with current bank".

 

Is this just something I will have to live with?

 

Its a limited company by the way and my accountant is away until late next week so thought id get some feedback here in the mean time.

My advice would be to move to Santander, I've been with them for about 4 years now, free banking, good overdraft, decent service, OK its like dealing with a machine rather than people, but at this price who cares???

I started mine with santander just over a year ago and it now costs £7.50 a month. I think they just do a free year to lure you in. But if you get anywhere with the free account then let me know!

TBH im going to tell barlcays im leaving and hopefuly they will give me another free year. Yes seems its a min of £7.50 per month for cash input, didnt read the small regarding BACS or Cheque

 

Edit - and i dont even have an overdraft!!!!

There is no such thing as free banking, they all get their money from you in the end.

 

The trick is to see which bank suits the way your business runs.

 

I have found them all to be friendly, flexible and totally transparent about themselves, with dedicated telephone help available whenever you need it staffed entirely by English speaking banking experts.

I've never been charged a penny in fees by my business bank. No overdraft though. Plus they pay me £25 every year for the privilege of being my bank.
