Another plus on the 81R here, we powered on with hs45s for years and finally upgraded earlier this year, now looking back thinking how so many jobs would have been miles easier and quicker! Not sure about cutting 60mm though, 30-40mm max probably more realistic........depends who has to pay for the upkeep of kit I guess!

The Echo hedge cutters are very good and have cutters designed for thick stuff.

Obviously you'll need an Easy Lift Harness to compliment any hedge cutter.

Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.

Looked at a Echo hc 341es this morning looks a strong cutter anyone use one.

Maybe try one of these? Products for the category: Granberg clip and trims

not sure how well they work but from what I understand it bolts down the side of your guide bar and just use the saw like a heavy duty hedge cutter

Anyone used one of these yet if so are they any good. Was thinking the shortest bar would be the most controllable.

Well I have gone and done it lol ordered a 14"" from Rob, have a terrible Hawtorn to trim, untoched for many yrs 12ft tall about 100ft long. Did the one opposite last week was ok with a normal trimmer , looked at this the one across the road and tried to hurry up and get away before the owner caught me....wasn't quick enough. so will get back with pics and report in a week or so.
