On the left is the headlight trim. What's the one on the right for? It's under the steering column on my 07 shogun.

The symbol looks similar to what you get on cc stalks. But it's dash lights. Stuck a coat over my head to find out. I'd been looking for the dip adjuster for ages. But the line of site means I don't see it from the drivers seat. Cheers.

The one on the left definitely controls the headlight aim, its used to adjust the beam depending on load on the back, park facing a wall and see if it works

It alters the brightness of your lights on the dashboard so at night when your driving where there are no street lamps you can turn the dash lights down to stop the glare

Some of the imported jap stuff had a switch under the dashboard that turned the heater temperature up

 

Apparently north island japan much colder than southern island sothey had this built in....

 

Was def on those funny old 2 1/4 4x4 people carrier diesels that blew their head gaskets
