They are cheaper, not as comfy, basic as a basic thing. You get good ones, you get bad ones. When running any vehicles, mthe secret is knowing a good mechanic and welder.

I've ran an LDV Luton for 5 years, she's awesome!!!!

Engine went boom the first 6months, I through a grand at parts and it's never missed a beat since!

I had one for a while quite liked mine, Very basic, Drives a bit like a boat fairly slow fully loaded but did what I asked of it. Mine was reliable had no issues had transit running gear.

Not a patch on a modern tranny but ok for the money IMO.ImageUploadedByArbtalk1407647756.996760.jpg.f8cbc3403fc412b5b7c335c45b16c53b.jpg

I have had three over the last ten years, they have all been great ! really good value for money compared to a transit, parts are pretty easy to get theres a company called ksl up north somewhere who break them and can get 95% of the parts the rest can come of a transit or be modified to fit an ldv, the brakes are pretty poor but you just get used to them.

Brakes are fine if you keep the rear adjusters fairly tight. Electrical issues can be the biggest problem but no worse than a Transit and considerably cheaper and easier to work on.

I got this one last year, never misses a beat and does everything we ask of it. Its the 2.5DI transit engine and is slow. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who takes up three parking bays at Burglar-king.

McDonalds on the other hand...

ldv wise ran one for 2 years possibly 3 heater was always on and the injector pump died. Don't get the 75ps one you need at least a 90ps if you are getting a doratorque tranny engine. Loaded mine wouldn't go up a short stretch of 1in6. Watch the fuel filters if they are slow starting

likely sucking air which kills the injector pump it is a common problem. They ain't bad machines just look a bit dated.

Lol your all heart!

I had an ldv years ago, my god it was slow and gutless but it was a non turbo and when I sold it I actually felt sorry for the guy who bought it when he told me he had 70m to drive, probably committed suicide on the way!
