Get 60m of 25mm polyprop from here: Mooring Ropes :: Mooring Rope :: Mooring Ropes For Sale :: Ship Mooring Ropes :: Mooring Rope Sizes :: Mooring Ropes UK :: Marine Rope Suppliers :: Sailing Ropes :: Yacht Ropes

Its always handy stuff to have anyway, and cheap enough to abuse.

put the rope over a branch round the back of the main stem and back down to earth, then attach both ends to the cat. The cat has the power to snap this rope, so you need to be sensible, put your cuts in and some wedges, then gently pull it over.

HI TOM my mate has rope like that for when he goes off road green lanes and 4ft of water in his mog but they use MOD rope thats used to pull out tanks it rated at 100ton it all most 80/90mm plus rope :lol:just right to pull out the smart car :lol:thanks jon

Errrrr

The client wants it dismantled

Dismantle it and charge accordingly

Clients a farmer if he can got job done cheaper using his gear, it will happen.

As for Burrell maybe he is busy enough to not need the £s and prefer to have a bit more of his time to himself rather than sweating up a tree.

Money isn't that important, now Im older if there is a good way to mechanize, Im there doing it that way.

No point having a Cat (challenger) and meaoOWwing yourself:biggrin:

Plus the wallop on hitting the deck must be worth £200 in entertainment. It would make me smile. A night at the theatre wouldn't.

So I went to price a big ash 4ft across the trunk (big tree)

Farmer is not to shore

Well the farmer isn't happy and I would trust him to know his kit and the ground he is pulling on, oh and I don't know what noise a caterpillar makes but is doesn't "meaoOW"

No doubt the machine will pull the tree over with the right line and the right cutter.

You just need to figure out if you have the above.

I am a shite bag at felling and would probably just dismantle the tree,

I know where i am and could guarantee it would be all on the right side of the fence.
