Husqvarna 540xp problems

Hi all

On Site and having trouble with this saw , needs to be choked to start even though it's warm , revs fine but won't idle , any help much appreciated, husqvarna 540 xp

Under warranty? Take it in to the shop, might be auto tune, I had something similar when I first bought mine they put it on the computer.. The woes of computer chainsaws!

They do need some choke if left for a while even when warm.

 

Did you set the auto tune up as per the instructions?

Often they just need the choke flicking on and off before you pull it.

What!!!!! ,computer,diagnostics,auto tune, I wanted a chainsaw not a car! Where can I buy the diagnostic software? I'm not having my pants pulled down every 5 minutes it's out of tune, muggin buggers

To set the auto tune all you need do is start it and cut some wood bar size for a couple of minuets . To keep the auto tune happy try not to leave the saw ticking over to long always prime when starting and a bit of choke if it been left a bit i treat all our auto tune saws this way never have problems

It has a pulse now haha ! Where can I find that marc,I think you might be right as it started doing it after it got pinched in a cut and I gave it a bit of a yank
