I got my CPC card in the Post Saturday.

I now am qualified to drive a CE vehicle combination professionally.

I am very pleased with this development.

just to add i should have a green light as i managed to stay awake for the full course even though the lights were on i wasn't in it was a slog doing the five 7hr sessions how did you find it

Like I said before no problem for this guy. :) he did about an hour then snored his head off for the rest of the day. Two of the lads could not speak or understand a word of english so they played games on their phones all day . I have one day left of this mind numbing Bull.

My taking is that I won't need CPC as a tree surgeon (no log/chip sales or delivery). The gov website states:

Vehicle uses where you don’t need Driver*CPC

You don’t need Driver*CPC*if the vehicle you drive is:

used to carry material or equipment you use for your job - but driving the vehicle can’t be the main part of your job.

Hearing about you guys enduring this uninspiring, mindless drivel, is making me question my understanding.

Have I got this wrong?

Cheers

Mark

No you dont need it but I know for a fact the police and vosa are targeting plenty of stops so I just want to be able to hand over the card and be on my way. Whats wrong with the exemptions is there is no way of registering them, so those that dont have them will probably have a good long wait at the roadside while they establish this.
