Found this little creature today hiding under some soil I moved in a garden. It had an orange stomach but I couldn't get it in the photo. Is it a common lizard never seen one before thanks

Had a similar late night vist myself a while back -

It was an elephant moth I found out and they get to quite a size.

 

Elephant Hawk moth feeds on Rosebay Willowherb, awesome creature.
