Its Ok Matt, they werent there initially, I even had time to edit my post though after they appeared!

Just out of interest, how long do you kepp your trucks?

I take it they will go off to auction after you have finished with them?

We keep em for about 6 years although my boss had his l200 for 8 years as there was a delay with the ford ranger. They go off for auction normally. But if they are well and truly nackered then they get stripped for parts and those parts go for auction. I still see our old K reg 110 hanging around. Its suprising it was stripped for parts as the chassis was 2/3 plate.

It does make working alot easier when everyone gets along and has a good joke around. A few times the joke can go a bit too far but then it come full circle and everyone is having a good laugh again. One of the guys i work with has ADHD so some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth isn't suitable so we have said to him afterward about what is acceptable. Some of the stuff that does come out of his mouth is absolute 8ollocks. The best story was he has driven a Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FFX and a Pagani Zonda F. He apparently has driven every tractor and combine on the market today. Big load of 8ollocks. He is very possessive of powertools as well. The 362 is "his", the polesaw is "his" and the 17 hp mower is "his". Sadly this isnt the case it is everyones to use and everyones responsibility to maintain them. We maintain tools on a monthly rota basis. I am currently on maintaining the Chipper, Stihl MS 341, FS 550, and L200.

There are people in the world that are a few crumbs short of a cookie. The trouble with my colleague with ADHD because he has worked in the agri industry he has a very agri minded approach to everything (If it breaks, buy a new one). We dont like his way of starting a fire either. He uses paper and kindling as normal but soaks the paper in deisel coz aparently it light quicker. The worst thing that he did whilst i was around was he poured petrol from the fuel tank of our blower to get the fire going. He was given a very stern rollocking from both me and the boss with a few "F"s thrown in. He didn't think he had done wrong as the fire was going. He then proceded to fell a dead tree that left several sizable dents on the brand new 10 plate Ford Ranger we have. He didn't think it would reach the truck. Well it did and it was off the road for 3 weeks being repaired. It was mostly comestic but it had taken out half of the fuse box, damaged the suspension on the front and needed a new windscreen.

Do you really think its appropriate to post negative things about some one with a learning difficulty??

Especially when you go on to post pic's of your work trucks, which make both you and in turn him identifiable.

I understand have posted negative things about someone with a learning difficulty. I apologize if this has upset alot of people. But this is only a couple of silly things that he has done and he has known that he did something silly. Other than that he is a fantastic worker and just gets on with the job. We all have a good laugh with him and we dont just keep on at him. We all make big mistakes and i have made one by posting stupid things about a colleague with ADHD. Same again i apologize for being a moron for posting these daft things.

As you say Matt, we all make mistakes, its easy to think your just chatting among friends on here, which you are, BUT the are 1000's of none posters reading.

May be an idea to PM Steve Bullman or one of the mods and ask for those posts to be binned.

I believe in equality for all. The only big mistake I see here is mentioning a colleagues medical condition in a public forum and I for one would prefer to see that reference removed. We all make mistakes and have others rib us for it both publicly and in private. All I would say is don't post anything that can identify the individual concerned, what ever the goof.
