Well all three of those, i don't sell firewood so that wood is destined for a big heap to rot. Josh was the closest, the spout don't hit the bar but it catches the projecting chip so i think I'm going to cut off that rear bar as its not really needed any way.

Tempting but it's more tempting just to cut it off

It'll weaken the structure if you cut it off.

Can you not reposition the chipper at all? Or perhaps fit something to it to deflect the chip slightly?

Cut the rear cross bar off and mount it on a couple of stubs with anti-luce pins.

 

You can take it off for chipping, carrying something tall or loading a bulk bag or a big log with a forklift, but fit it back on for rigidity or carrying your ladders.

 

Or just tip the truck up and chip over the top of it.

I'm not convinced it's needed chip does't really push outwards and those back posts are meaty. It would he handy for ladders though

a stabilising leg across the bottom of the ladder that doubles as a rear bar for your van, two birds and one stone!
