I put this recent piece of work onto another thread but it hasn't drawn any interest.

 

Is it uninteresting or is it the format in how I've presented it?

Very nice David, it's nice to get talked through the reason for work. Will the tree now be monitored and have a future maintenance program based on how she reacts to the work?

 

Format was fine I like pictures more than videos anyway

What it needs is a nipple ,dmm ring and strap on and it will get a million views And comments.

I think some vids warrant there own threads.

Missed the eucy one maybe I would of put that up as a eucy speed line on its own thread the beech one is ok maybe a job spec ,some video action shots of the cuts with accents descents go down well imo...

Thanks for the feedback Arran and glad you find the format watchable. I thi think a mix of both imagery, video and text is the most engaging combo to record a job or specific tree. In this case we had the video on the job but forgot to get it on to one the guys lids.

 

Although the tree is in woodland, its close to a fairly busy fooltpath between two sites. It will be inspected for stability and vigour on an annual basis, with further spec asigned as and when required. The reduction to bring it out of the direct wind load should buy it & us time.

For someone like me who doesn't get to do that kind of work but is fascinated by it I totally agree; the text especially explains what's happening and why. Hats off to those who do the video'd work but after a while the vids do get a bit samey.

 

It's always good to see your long-term planning David; I guess what happened there was a kind of reverse halo-ing.

I'm still trying to groom the team to be comfortable with the bondage equipment Matty.............coming to an arb forum video thread soon

 

We put the Euc one up in its own thread and its been watched a fair few times to be honest.

I think that it's simply sometimes down to what time of day things get posted as to how many people get to see it.
