You cannot spend your money more wisely than on the Kaaz machine Dean. In 3 decades of mending mowers it has always been consistently the best quality, nothing else come near, except JD, but my money will still be on the Kaaz.

I have a Honda, and also a Scagg that's a 48" cut oh and a tail lift:)

That's the key, lifting mowers is a back breaker, get some little ramps mate !

iam running a Honda 476 hrx qx. its light fast turns on a penny fills the big grass box to the brim powerful in long grass strips well leavs nice finish. Unlike the other honda mowers I have had its belt drive makes it very smooth and controlable. I love it at the minute I have only used it for about 10 hours so time will tell if its realy up to it!

Kaaz machines are good but the drive system is a weak point.

I've changed my Lawnflite 533 for an Etesia after drive problems, too early to tell if it's the right move. It's certainly much better for smaller gardens and regular loading onto the van.

If you're thinking of mulching I really recommend the Etesia. Collection is 90% as good as the LawnFlite but not as quick or 'hungry for foot long grass' if that makes sense! Plenty better than most other mowers though, and fine for for cuts every fortnight.

Dean

we have tried Masport ..not impressed ,

have honda 536hx pro ,, which are great, but, then tried the vikings 755

so now run those and hondas. Viking about £90 cheaper than hondas we have some uncertainty about how long they will last but they are damn good machines

Etesia mowers don't like being pulled backwards, the variable speed pulleys are as reliable as the weather

And the height adjusters can only be described as crap! Other wise a strong built thick alloy deck which will take a bit of stick good handle fold down system bit greedy on cables!

Price is a little steep as well and they are French and not Chinese built!

Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!

I agree, from an engineering point of view I think the Etesia is pretty poor. I take no pleasure in servicing them as I like to send mowers out clean and "tight".

Can never get them to look good, and can never get the wheels, adjusters, and controls to feel good.

But apparently they work quite well.
