so are they inporting al the wood to get the chip quality they want/need???

 

From what I was told Johny the chip was for export, it is/was shredded wood waste from recycling firms or put another way stuff out of skips.

How true that is I don't know

What's the chip needed for? Are you after fresh or "seasoned" chip.. Would it need to be delivered?

 

I'm offering a chip tip site. I'll be using it for mulching around trees, once composted

Majority of canadian woodland is already classified as sustainable making it easier to import rather than do the paperwork to classify UK woodland as sustainable. Long term the imports may be squeezed as the carbon miles are reduced.
