How much are the burrs worth as I have a load?

I don't think they are burrs they look like old stubs/pegs which have calloused over.

Definitely not burr material which is formed by adventishus buds(spelling dubious sorry) these as as said old stubs and pruning wounds that have sealed over from reaction wood or callous timber as some call it.

Not worth a fortune but some hand carvers like it and depending on how sound the timber is in the centre some turners like em for strange off centre turning projects.

give them to a carver as they'll be a bugger to split with the twisted grain.

 

not true burs as correctly said, (do things like this have a name?) but old wounds healing.

 

can have nice twisty grain in them though.

as i said, they can have twisted grain in them but not all turners are interested in that sort of turning. personally i would pass but try ebay as it should tell you if they are wanted or not.
