HI STEVE can set the posch machine to take less then 200mm as it going use loads more wood then the kindlet one thanks jon

It says 160-200mm I am not sure if that means you can adjust it or the chute is 200mm wide. If the chute is 200mm I would imagine 160mm would turn and jam more often. Major has one of these machines so perhaps he would be kind enough to give us the heads up. I have no connection with fuelwood or Posch just need the best machine for the job. Proof is in the pudding as they say maybe I need to get my hands on one.

The chute is 200mm wide so you can cut 160mm kindling no problem, think we cut 180mm, but have cut some as short as 110 just to see what happened and it cut no problem! Hope this helps!

I have had a kindlet machine for nearly 10years,i had it upgraded in 2010 to the kindlet turbo ,i have done thousands of bags with it over the years ,in my opinion which ever machine you use for making kindling you need timber that hasnt got any knots ,why dont you go down to the open day @fuelwood warwick on friday or saturday this week they have a variety of kindling machines on show .

You still have to pay for 75% of it or 60% if your doing really well :thumbup1:

My accountant advises me that this year we can claim 100% of the cost of a machine against tax in year one as opposed to the more usual 25%. So that reduces your profit by the amount you spend on the machine, therefore less tax to pay. It seems the govt are trying to persuade companies to invest in capital equipment.

As I understand it if your pre tax profit is say 30k you will pay tax on that, if you invest that 30k into a machine your profits are therefore nil so no tax, perhaps I am not understanding it correctly. In effect you are saving about 7k.
