Making a Prussik Loop

I will warn though that a friend of mine had a prussik cord with a double fishermans and then the ends taped down ..

Well the ends rode a bit loose and formed a sort of 'loop' only held closed by the tape ..

She accidentally clipped into this loop, tested the weight and it seemed to hold as it should, started descending on it and it came out, fell and broke her back ..

Little details like that can be too important ..

Again surely a double fishermans is part of cs38 or unit 1 (correct me)

A few ££ bit of 11mm rope will get you sorted.

Tbh if I couldn't tie a double fishermans I really wouldn't want to climb a tree with one pre tied as I wouldn't know what's right or wrong with the knot
