Tree Topping

I have plenty of ropes and safety equipment to use as a am an avid climber. However, i have access to a boom lift. That is how I was planning to do it.

You might find it awkward to get to the main stem from a lift, but they are perfect for trimming the sides, (assuming you are conny bashing & no nests).

Climbing is more efficient for the height reduction, but you need to know what your doing when knocking wood over which by nature is above you, this applies to any method, be it climbing or from a lift.:001_smile:

It can go wrong very quickly, even with experience of cutting, but without the experience, & no rescue plan / climber in place, you would be chancing it.

Im going to go ahead and do it. However, as im not a professional should i get the neighbours to sign anything that says they are happy me doing it or at least something along the lines of that.

Many thanks for all the help on this.
