This thread is great and most deserving of a bump, so BUMP!

 

especialy with the leaf now up and running, an oportunity for a little adding to this most fascinating of threads. Galls is something I havent really had much interest in before, and i just learnt a heap!

 

Always something new to get into, I love arb!

Not technically a gall.

But a rust.

 

Pear Rust

Caused by the fungi - Gymnosporangium sabinae

 

Has gall like protrusions under the leaf.

 

Fruit can be affected, and can also lead to branch canker.
