1st photo, the resting position of the throttle arm, look ok Eddie? There's quite a bit of slack before it actually takes up any revs.

2nd and 3rd photo, this doesn't happen on my 560, is there supposed to be so much oil in and around the air filter / carb?

Thoughts / opinions?

Here's mine from the same angle, looks the same? it's fairly oily under the air filter too, first time I've taken it off to check as the saw is only a week old

My 540 is suffering the same issues at the minute, i got it as soon as it was released and it's never missed a beat till now. I have noticed the air filter is always wet with fuel, just thought it was groundies being abit lavish with the aspen till now

Yeah the throttle arm must be right then. Today I did notice fuel coming out from under the carb / filter / spark plug cover, after leaving the saw hung upside down for 20 minutes over lunch. Concerned that the oil in the filter is actually 2 stroke mix that's leaking. Going to clean it, hang it up again and watch for leaks in a minute

Yeah I've come across certain vehicle air filters that are supposed to be covered in oil, but I'm pretty certain that it's a fault in this case. Tried leaving the tank in various fuel levels but it still leaks. If only they did "courtesy saws". I'd probably be a bit more keen on giving it back to the dealership if they did!
