As the title says what is the best way to remove sign writing from my truck.

Getting the vinyl off is easy just hat and peel, getting the adhesive off is difficult, by nature it bonds with the paint or lacquer and is difficult to shift.

The worst part is the UV fading to the remainder of the paint, that and the adhesive residue leaves a shadow where the vinyl was. You can buff it out but sometimes it just wont go away.

as other posts hot air gun but just warm the vinel so it just starts to bubble then grab a end and start to peel using gun to keep what you are peeling off warm. will come off a treat.

but as other posts will leave a shadow as uv has gt to paint work so will need to t cut to get it looking the same. i used a polising mop put a drop of t cut on went over then put a clean mop on head and cleaned off.

long job to get it right.
