Great site and my first post. Some very useful topics.

Spent 12 years as a Royal Engineer then 10 years truck driver and the last few as a house dad. I would cut trees down with my felling axe and bow saw for any who asked me as long as i could keep the logs. Now progressed and own a MS180 & MS290 with all the gear.

 

I'm Involved with the Humber Conservation Volunteers a great bunch. No gym membership needed we are hands on.

I'm Richard, I found Arbtalk a long time ago and thanks to your help I have been clearing overgrown hedges and gardens for a few years. I thought I should sign up and thank you all.

The knowledge of the members has saved trees from being felled and me from chopping bits of myself.

Hi all, I'm Andy, I work in horticulture at a large garden centre and am wanting to branch out into arb, woodland management and forestry. I've just started the level 2 distance learning course through the hcc and do a spot of amateur chainsaw carving. Its taken a while but got here in the end! Totally blown away with this forum....

After spending nearly twenty years in the Industry outside the UK its a pleasure to get connected again, in your own language. There is so much info here, brilliant nice one Steve.

After finishing an ND in 97 I returned to Germany where I had spend my middle year placement, met a girl and the rests history...

In 2003 I started making rope bags for myself as the truck was getting pretty cluttered. Work mates started to nag me to make them one and that was the begging of Silverbull.

great place to live and work did a middle year placement and got offered work once I had finished my ND. After four or five years subcontracting set up shop and did a lot for

Munich council plus private stuff.

I just thought I would say hello. I'm in the process of purchasing a new property which has a decent size wood and really looking forward to learning about woodland management and hopefully buying some kit.
