Hello Tree people

Also a long time lurker here, now finally with something to post.

Our company is me and my best mate, who work as full time EMT's in the Danish ambulance service. We do treework part time, mostly small to medium removals or ground work for local full time arborists.

Oi oi then Treesen . Welcome bud .

Hello guys. Newbie here to learn. Love the tech talk and machine chat.

I only cut firewood for a few log burners and cut some grass, but all my hobbies are in the great outdoors.

Hi darroch . Welcome matey . 👍

New member here, getting back into this sort of thing after a bit of a hiatus. I need to requalify on everything as it's all lapsed but hey ho, will be worth it I hope. Basically I'm out of touch with the industry so thought I'd jump on here and see what's going on. See you around the forum.

Much to my amazement I was told recently that internet forums are very much on the decline, that being the case, what's here is a proper gem.

Use the search button for just about anything, you'll be staggered at how much info is here.

Hello everyone, long time lurker that decided it was about time to join the forum. Very interesting reading throughout the forum and friendly, unlike some that I’ve been on. I’m not in the trade but have spent my whole life dabbling with hedges and firewood with my father in Devon. I try to avoid tree felling and major jobs, and have just been helping a few select friends/family clear up wood for fire wood. Things have changed this year as the Wife has taken up pyrography (burning images into hopefully non-flammable materials), mostly wood so I seem to get an almost constant stream of timber to cut and sand to size, it started off with small rounds but even those have grown in size and now I’ve had my first taste of very small-scale milling, that is addictive. At least the Stihls are getting a bit of a work out and of course, the off cuts and mistakes make good firewood. I’ll no doubt get around to being annoying when I start asking questions later.

Morning

Iv just joined, time served builder and hetas engineer I’m now looking to get into firewood.
Iv come across a decent supply of free trees and have plenty of room in my builders hard for seasoning.
I’m totally new to it but obviously used hand and power tools all my life, look forward to getting stuck in.
