This thread didn't quite reach my expectations when I read the title :P grass cutting started about 3 weeks ago for us as it's been so mild... Seemed too have missed winter in Berkshire!

should of started 3 weeks ago. but looked at jobs and looked ok. went this week like a jungle. having to couble cut so i do not get grass tram lines.

that teach me start end of march no matter what. like last year done up to the nines in thermals and gloves as so cold. never felt so cold mowing.

Swallows and martins here and even one very early swift. A pair of ospreys flew over yesterday heading north....Scotland no doubt.

Always good to see them back for another visit.

Not so good when I leave the newly painted top of the parcel drop box under last years nest. Now, still tacky, it has a light dusting of moss from this years nest lining - dhooooh!

Saw our first yesterday. Probably the earliest we have had them here.

Fantastic little birds. Always enjoy watching them swoop down to get water from the pond.
