My Chipper is insured with the NFU for £10k cover as part of my tipper insurance. Cost me an extra £80 a year, that was it.

I also find NFU pretty good, rates are about right with a bit of arm twisting and they understand agricultural type business.

we are with the nfu for all our insurance and the have always payed out and normally for more than we were expecting

I'm currently with NFU Jon, but shopping around every renewal.

 

I'm a year older, with another years no claims. Truck is worth a year less.

Beware NFU!

 

I was with them for years with no problems, very good company when making a claim.

 

But, they reduced my maximum tree height limit to 6m without specifically bringing it to my attention on renewal (it was in the teeny weeny small print, who reads that?)

 

I'd love to base my business on 6m trees, but I live in the real world so I binned them in favour of Trust insurance. Cheaper and no height restriction.

Dan, the best day-rate you will make is taking a day off and ringing around.

Someone will pipe up in a minute and say they got 3 trucks insured for £200 fully comp blah blah blah.

 

Insurance is all bull, I'm sick of wasting 40 minutes of my life to insure my truck only to be told 'we don't insure tippers'.

 

Internet insurance is dangerous.
