Running two trucks

Many yrs ago I had my Transit Tipper insured with Norwich Union (Aviva) for "any driver" there were 3 of us all over 25 .... when I renewed I asked if there was any way of reducing the premium and was told "any driver" is based on a 17 yr old with a drink driving conviction. I then changed to drivers over 25 and saved a lot of money.

Hi all

May seem like a ridiculous question to some of you guys, but I'm gonna start another crew and was wondering what the best way of insuring two trucks is ,same policy or what not.any advice greatly appreciated.

Aviva do our fleetplan but they also include all the tractors, diggers , telehandlers ,stumpgrinders , trucks ,4x4`s, bowsers, trailers , cherrypickers etc that ever put a wheel on the road even if its not road registered . Fully comp any driver inc under 21 as long as its not a permanent thing. I went for this because you are covered if you have an accident while unloading kit roadside. 18k a year which is cheap if you tot up whats on cover. You will find them very flexible.

Like most have said NFU, got Landy and tipper insured along with trailer and any trailer being towed. As a registered smallholder I get automatic business cover too. It's easier for me to deal with one broker.

Yeah I'm thinking to consolidate it all rather than dealing with loads of different companies ! Which in turn will do the old swede in
