David, have you thought about job agencies, there should be some around you offering warehouse type work or drivers mate jobs. Ok money is low but it is money after all. Or have you tried farm labouring or something in a similar role. Yes its low paid but at least you would be working, gaining some experience of work and earning money. Also get on your bike and get pedling, the further you go, the more you will achieve. Good luck.

Now that i havent done good point i have a farm not to far from me which i will pop down too in the morning but yes im on file with a few and do get the odd days from them thanks for the inputs bud

Another thing with lack of buses running at suitable times etc. is get a bike!

 

If you cant ride a bike 10-15miles (maybe 20) in the morning for work then your not fit enough for this kind of work anyway.

If I rode a bike 10-15 miles into work I'd be bloody useless for the rest of the day!

 

I live about 2 miles from our yard, I drive. Saves my energy and keeps my coffee warm

I'm guessing you're joking. I'd love to ride a bike to work, my yard is barely two miles from home but would be ideal as a warm up for the day. I'm 43 mind, so can't go too far!! I cycle in the evenings and weekends anyway, and run 10 miles a week, and swim about 3 miles a week too. Tree work is too easy so I have to burn off the extra energy somehow!

I rode 10 miles to school everyday for two years (a level years) so it's not hard at that age.

Only half joking really. If I was looking for a foothold into this industry as the op is id happily cycle 25 miles to work.

 

Though if I did I'd be knackered! I'm fit enough for work. I'm nothing spectacular but I'm not slow either. Being a smoker though, cardio hits me hard.

i know were you are coming from a friend is near to you and he has found it hard to find work due to location.

but as other posts if you are in debt you will not get any credit.

yor best bet is get that driving licence then your world is your oyster. you can then get a job pay off your debts save up getting tools then branch out on your own. if you want to earn some extra do grass cutting local.

being serous have a trailer to go on back of a bike so you can put a small mower in plus a few tools. soon be seen and you will gt people askingand word will get round. seen a window cleaner round these parts doing same
