Been getting by with a basic Dell Inkjet for a while but it's wearing out and I need a new one asap! Priority is Text and colour clarity above photo printing. Budget dunno - £300 ish max. HP / Epson I assume are best ??? Laser vs Inkjet??? Cheers...

Another vote for the Samsung as Killa Ferret says. Does my multicolour logo very nicely. Only down side is that the colour toners come in at about £30 a pop, which can hurt when they all go at once!

DONT BUY A KODAK.

nothing but problems with it, had it over a year.

bought a hp all in one FP4280 for under £30 and its fantastic. good quality photo prints too and it came with full ink tanks not the usual taster inks which last 10 seconds

epson stylus photo rx585. scan/copy/speciality printing(onto cd's etc) can plug a digital camera straight into it via usb or a usb memory stick. £150 ish.

Id go for a laser from one of the majors like HP or Epsom. I got one in my final year at uni and it was brilliant and Ive never replaced the laser toner. Apparently you get around 2k copies to each one. I think its alot less hastle than a inkjet, especially if you only use it occasionally as the toner doesnt dry like I found with an inkjet.
