zip lining with Hi ab

Today we Zip lined out about eight ton of timber using a zipline. The trees were straight felled and the bush chipped with the tracked chipper.

We were able to zip the logs straight onto a trailer for easy egress.

Pic one.Mog used at ground anchor and Turfor used to as safety device. The Turfor will slip before the Cable approaches breaking strain.Thats not really an issue when dealing with small timber, but it can avoid embarrasment.

From beginning extraction this morning,we were finnished in a total of seven hours. Not bad for two blokes and some gear.

Nice idea mate. But there was a stone wall in front of Mog about 5 meters high.

better with a big roof mount then mate:001_tongue:i made the winch remote controlled for jobs just like that. i could drive right up, winch them straight up, then just reverse back, but it all depends on the ground conditions ans stability above the wall. i am after a double drum for the 3 point linkage(once i win the lottery)then you can set up a main line and winch with the other:001_cool:
