Hi Guys n Gals

First post I am afraid, although I have been a lurker a long time :blushing:

Thought it was about time I registered proper.

Looking at buying at a chipper, read lots of posts on here which makes it very difficult to know which way to go, but have got it down to two:

The Green Mech Arb 150 or the Forst ST6.

Can anyone help, what are you peoples experiences of them both?

Running costs, blade sharpening etc.

Its easy for the salesman to give you their spill but we want to hear it from the people that use them direct and first hand.

Will one or other still be going strong when the other won't?

Thanks in advance. :)

Last week I had a 150 & a Forst on the same site & I think the forst was FAR better. The green mech could not take in a 4inch bit of black thorn were the Forst was pulling it in with ease.

I would rather have a forst any day of the week.

as for running the forst easy to grease up really easy to change blades. really good on the fuel!

get them both out on demo at the same time and give them a go!

On the Isle of Wight so couldn't be further away from anywhere

We have got them both on demo next week. So will be able to play but just interested in hearing what you folk have to say beforehand so know the things to look out for.

We originally looked at the Green Mech Quad Chip 160 but didn't fancy the 6 week lead time, unless we had to and not sure if the turntable is worth the extra, and have also heard the tow bars aren't very good - is that still an issue with them?

To be fair haven't actually heard a bad thing about the forst yet, the only trouble is their finance package seems a bit extreme compared to Green Mech - we will be calling them tomorrow to query this. And the service from Matt @ Redwood has been faultless as always. Tough Competition :confused1:
