Anyone got any news on the 660/661 front?

I've been waiting since the beginning of February for a 660 to come into my local stihl supplier since the 661 got recalled. Just wandered if anyone else has had the same problems?

Also does anyone know why the 661 was recalled in the first place? makes me wander about stihls reliability..

ash01 has one a 661 i,ve used it and his lads have it out everyday and tel me its a beast and love the saw

Hi James there's no light to shed mate I wish there were my saw that I order was ok but they would not sale it to me that mad I could of got a 661 just before Xmas last year it sound a good saw when it all fixed up so I will get one in the summer off JONES)JUSTIN my 461 is good saw on a 20" loads of power on that size bar too will run a 25" I'm told BUT I LIKE POWER so I'm sticking with a 20" bar all the best Jon
