I use zarges , by far the best imo and used by most of the industrial steel chaps I used to know.. 3 part 14 rung, work as steps - ladder and steps with extension.. guide wheels, stabilizer bar..

can get off the truck and carry by myself, they are heavy but its doable..

they also separate into sections easy, you can slide the sections off while there still on the truck if needed.

pricy new but a good set on ebay can be had for £150.00

I had a set of zarges sky master, don't personally like them much, heavy, cumbersome and lack of adjusting/leveling foot. Also considerably more expensive then Hailo

I will admit they are heavy enough, the wheels are pretty good for running up a wall if needed though and I like the fact they wont break, I do have a small / light set of triples aswell, never tried any with the adjuster foot but I can see where your coming from..

Another recommendation for the tripod type. I was dubious when i saw them first but cutting hedges from them you wouldnt realise you were on ladders. Also they are extremely light. Always good to have a few options

Iv never tried the tripod type. But if always wondered how/if you can adjust them for differing heights when hedge trimming. I know you can get different sizes, but does it obviously doesn't make sense to buy several sets.

How do you get on if you are using the biggest set when doing fairly low hedges?

The single leg does have a few holes so there is slight adjustment but not a great range in difference and imo when you have it higher up on that leg it does get a bit steep. They can be a pain if your doing lower hedges it depends what position you can get them in as to how much they get in the way. we have a little platform for smaller hedges and a bigger three stage hailo set as well so it covers all the bases. But when the tripod ones can be used they really come into their own

I'm selling these if you're interested, they're triple extending ladders that turn into step ladders, these bad boys are heavy and don't move! If i wasnt moving to Australia I'd be keeping them, they cost nearly £400 a few years back, they've got no dings
