No it splits quite easy but does't burn that well. but it's ok if free. I Would't buy it just for fire wood.

 

Goes off like concrete so split as soon as you can . Fantastic fire wood . Can pop and bang a bit so stove only .

Do you think six months down and ringed will have made it un split-able with an axe? Don't want to sell it too him to then get a call saying can I come round and split it for him.

We'll one of us must be right unless someone comes on and says it does't burn at all. I have always found it does't burn as good as or their dense timber never get a good flame. Saying that, it will burn but very slowly.

 

Well I have got lots of it . Not making it up honest some on the stove now . Bone dry at less than 18% . I have 2 mechanical splitters so don't use an axe . It is rock hard when seasoned . When they have wild fires in Aus these trees tend to explode !
